Membership to A.N.S.M.A. is open to enthusiasts who actively participate in the Street Machining Lifestyle by attending car shows, cruises, swap meets, and supporting charity events. If this is your intention you are welcome to be a part of the Street Machining Community by joining as an Individual motoring enthusiasts member or a Motoring Club including Motorcyclists and Motorcycle Clubs.
ANSMA Inc. is a founding Member of the Australian Confederation of Motor Clubs (ACMC).
Affiliation with the Australian National Street Machine Association Inc. will give coverage for your Club and its members under our $20,000,000.00 Public and Product Liability Insurances.
ANSMA does not solely provide insurance to its member clubs we also actively advocate with Government to enhance the enjoyment of our lifestyle with as little intrusion of legislative controls as can be achieved in an era when our freedoms are being eroded and limited everyday by the action of Government’s in all their various forms.
ANSMA will not be accepting memberships or registration applications for any type of recreational vehicle. This includes 4×4 (4WD), RV’s, Motorhomes etc. We are and always have been a club who’s primary interest is the preservation and restoration of Classic Street Machines. Please refer to our list of affiliated clubs for enquiries regarding membership and applications associated with your specific vehicle type.
By default, should your Club affiliate with us your Club will also become a member of an umbrella organisation called the AUSTRALIAN CONFEDERATION OF MOTOR CLUBS Inc. (ACMC Inc.) which brings together Hot Rodders, Motorsport Enthusiasts, Motorcyclists, Street Machiners and Veteran and Classic Car Owners Associations from all across Australia.
The formation of this group was to concentrate the numbers of enthusiast under a single entity so that it can bring pressure to bear on Governments to allow us a place at the table when new legislation relative to vehicles are being considered by various Governments.
This is the first time any Government has given enthusiasts the opportunity to voice their opinion on changes to Legislation when in the planning stage instead of having to fight changes once they have been implemented.
The first tier of this scheme saw in 2015 introduction of a 60 Day Log Book Scheme for Historic vehicles already eligible for the Conditional Registration Scheme (CRS) the second tier of the scheme commenced in December 2016 to cater for modified vehicles 30 years or older.
This Scheme is referred to as “Classic Vehicle Scheme” (CVS).
As an affiliated Club, your club can authorise its member’s vehicles for the CVS subject to their suitability for that scheme.
Members and Member Clubs are also encouraged to nominate for positions on the executive of ANSMA at the Associations AGM’s and please note that members from Victoria, ACT, Western Australia, Tasmania and Queensland can nominate for the Executive without the need to attend the AGM, and their attendance is not required at subsequent meetings as they are conducted by email or telephone given the significant geographical distances between clubs.
However, nominees for the positions of National President and National Vice President must be in attendance at the AGM and must have held a Committee Position for at least two years prior to nomination, (see the ANSMA Inc. Constitution).
Please if you need information or assistance in any matters related to the continuance and improvement of our motoring lifestyle please do not hesitate to contact us.
Affiliation Fees paid to ANSMA at this time of the year will be credited to your club for the year 2018-2019 so we will not be asking for further fees till 31 January 2019.
For a Club of less than 30 members your affiliation fee will be $360.00.
