The Classic Vehicle Registration Scheme is for vehicles that are 30 plus years old, have a GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) of 3.5 tonnes or less and have modifications.
If the vehicle has been modified it must fit within the guidelines of VS1-6 (Link below) or have an engineering certificate from a VSCCS licensed person or may rely on an older ECS Certificate if that Certificate is recorded on your old NSW registration papers (bottom right hand side) and you have copies of the ECS documentation
- You must be a resident of NSW.
- The vehicle to be registered on CVS must be garaged in NSW.
- You must be a financial member of a club which is affiliated with one of the these approved organisations:
- ACMC NSW Ltd
- Council of Heritage Motor Clubs NSW Inc
- Council of Motor Clubs Inc
- NSW Historic Motoring Association Inc
ANSMA does not be accept memberships or registration applications for any type of recreational vehicle. Including 4×4 (4WD), RV’s, Motorhomes etc. We are a club who’s primary interest is the preservation and restoration of Classic Street Machines.
